Problems With the Conversation Window

I've been having problems starting conversations with my gtalk
contacts, whenever I try to open a conversation window I have to wait
about a minute for it to load, during the time that I wait for it to
load, it slows my computer down a lot. It has only started doing this
about three days ago, since it has started I have been trying to fix
it... I've done an anti-rootkit scan, virus scan, spyware scan, disk
defrag, ram defrag, and even system restore... I think it's something
wrong with my computer itself, may be a virus that my virus scanner
hasn't found yet [I used AVG, but I have heard ClamWin is good too, so
I just downloaded that and am going to use it]. Last night I thought
it might have been something wrong with explorer.exe, I've noticed
that my flash player has been slowing me down when something happens
in the flash movie/game that I'm trying to play, and explorer.exe has
been randomly encountering problems and restarting [which I think I
fixed last night when I did a "sfc /scannow" search, it hasn't crashed
yet, but google talk is still messed up].
Also, I've tried to look at the google help pages, but they don't seem
to want to load for me. =\
If this sounds more like a computer problem then I will look for
another group to help, unless if someone here will.
