Maximum Metadata Length

Hi All

We have a particular subset of documents that we need to be able to filter using Meta tags. In order to do this, we are using Multivalued meta tags with a separator. The data is being added to the GSA via Metadata-and-url feed. 

My question is this -  is there a maximum length on a meta tag field in the GSA? And if so, what is it? Cant seem to find this in the documentation....
