I recently took over support for our Google Search Appliance (GSA) and
I went to re-index our site only to find that our GSA is out of
space. I see the following error listed.

[Errno 28] No space left on device

I went to the System Status Admin screen and it lists the Disk as
Critical with the following explanation.

The disks have problems: Machines <ent1> are almost full.

It says to inform Google Support so I'm in the mist of tracking down
if we have a support contract/account with Google. In the meantime I
figured i raise this issue here to see if anyone has any suggestions
on how to resolve this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Damian,

What is your GSA version? There is a known bug on version 6.2.0.G14  in suggest server that causes out-of-disk-space issues with /tmp. Maybe that is happening with you.

You can fix it applying the available patch for 6.2.0.G14, which is: 6.2.0.G14 P1. Check the releases notes to realize if it fits for you.

  Anyway, good luck on that.

Regards,

Yeah, best thing would be to contact support on this who would need to
login to clean up. If you are desperate you may need to reset the
index (hopefully that is the issue) to clean up more space. But best
is to contact support and have them look at it.
