how do i see network shares

I keep most images on a NAS type MYBOOK and I can not see the share from Piscasa

Is the share mounted on the box that you are running Picasa on?
I.E. are you able to access it via your desktop or command line xterm?

Likewise, I have no problems accessing nfs shares with picasa on my box.
Just tested to be sure.

The nfs shares do need to be mounted on the box running picasa.
