html deleted

And you expect one to determine ?what? by looking at a picture of a
directory?

You offer no history, no system data, picasa version, photo specs or
permissions, ....

sorry, crystal ball is returned to mfgr for repair or replacement. Can
you tell me why it doesn't work?

left the html trash and full quote just for you.

Doesn't load for me either but I don't see anything wrong with it and
cannot see any reason to spend much time investigating.

try the picasa forum on google.

wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Google/Picasa3/uninstall.exe

provided you installed _normally_.

thank you, patrick,
that worked,

and I re-installed picasa since,
but it still doesn't find some of my photos which I are on my drive.
I 'ticked' all possible formats in 'settings'

it's an email forum, please stop with the html and send TEXT!

As I said earlier, I cannot load your example either and I do not know
why. My other *linux* apps will load it. I use picasa very little and am
really not interested in trying to debug it.

I suggest you use digikam, fotoxx, darktable, shotwell, or one of the
many other linux apps available for indexing your photos. Personally I
utilize darktable for processing and indexing and shotwell sometimes for
very specific actions, and I process ~50k images a year.

I don't know anything that pacasa will do that darktable and digikam will
not. And afaics, google does not care if you use picasa on linux and will
not support you.
