Hi,

I trade some US stocks, and some HK stocks. I am UK-based and plan
soon to start trading some UK stocks as well.

I have found the Google Stock Screener very useful indeed in getting
trading ideas for my US portfolio (including overseas stocks traded on
US exchanges). However I'd like to be able to do the same kind of
screenings for UK and HK stocks. Does anyone know of any of any
service that offers the ability to search by the various criteria in
the GF database?

I don't expect I'll get anything quite as comprehensive as GF, but
something to let me look at PE, some ratios, market cap, price to
book, some measure of EPS growth would be great. If any brokers
websites offer this kind of thing I'd probably register with them
since I have no web-based brokerage account at the moment. I don't
really want to go down the spread betting route because I feel that I
have a better chance of beating the professionals if I deal in stocks
which have too small a liquid float for the institutions to be
interested.

Thanks for reading this. If it is a FAQ, I'm very sorry. Please don't
flame me after my first new thread post.

Steve.

I am in the same position as you. Are there any HK or world stock
screeners that can screen ROE and other ratios?

Hey Steve,

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but it might be helpful:

Even though it's not part of the google site it covers stocks, indices and currencies all over the world. There's a tab in the upper right hand corner labeled "My Portfolios" that lets you customize according to your specific criteria, but as far as screening goes, I'm not sure what kingd of capabilities it has.

On the otherhand, as far as a good screening tool goes, I'd suggest: https://www.capitaliq.com/main.asp

I think Capital IQ is a sub of S&P,..... but I've been using it for about a month now and find it to be one of the best screening tools I've ever used. It takes a while, and a lot patience, to get use to its user interface, but once you understand how everything works it makes life a lot easier. The excel plug-in allows you to do even more. I have access through my work but understand that its kind of expensive. So if you don't want to risk purchasing something you're not sure you want to use, you can subscribe for a 30-day free trial....that's what we did before purchasing the service.

Good Luck,
Paul
