whole sidebar starts to blink

After installing version 1.3 the whole sidebar starts to blink. ~ 2
seconds it is visible and then ~ 5 it disappears and than it is again
visible for ~ 2 seconds and so on. A reinstallation of Google Desktop
and then volume control again, makes no difference and I never had
this problem before with another gadget.
