A way to compensate for the time when a computer freezes up for a moment.

Thanks first of all for this very useful gadget. I was just wondering
if something could be done with my only complaint with this gadget
which happens when my computer, or somewhat more often, google desktop
freezes, in which the timer would stop and after the momentary freeze,
would not count the time that elapsed before and after the freeze. For
example, say the timer is at 2:15 and something happens which freezes
the computer for say, five seconds. After that happens, the timer would
continue to 2:16 instead of compensating for the five seconds that
elapsed. The problem becomes worse when the computer is doing very
CPU-intensive work and I decide to peek for a moment at the sidebar,
which is at auto-hide, and the program locks up for at times, twenty or
more seconds. It would be great if this fairly minor problem could be
fixed. Thanks a bunch again.
