Problems downloading

Ia anyone else having problmes installing this gadget? It looks cool,
but I can't get it to install (I've installed others before....so I
don't think it's user error.....though I suppose it could be).

Hi, i assume you downloaded the .gg file.. If you launch it and the
system doesn't know what program to use to open it, then you most
likely don't have Google Desktop 4. To make sure you have it you should
install the latest version from www.desktop.google.com

If it still doesn't work please tell me (or if you receive another kind
of error),

I am having problems installing ANY online panels for the sidebar. The
files will not install directly by hitting "open". They will download
and save, but then I get the error message:
"Invalid command line "C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\desktop\biorythm.gg"".
Can you help??

Hi, could you tell me your exact version of Google Desktop? You can
find it by right-clicking the Google Desktop icon in your system tray
and clicking About. The version is written in small letters at the
bottom.

This is odd.. Everything seems to be ok with the version; what program
are you using to launch the .gg ? (something like Total Commander? or
do you simply launch it in Windows? ) Try launching in Windows if you
didn't and see what happens.

BTW, if this isn't the issue, the version seems ok, but it isn't the
latest; they may have fixed a lot of bugs so it would be best that you
get the latest version from www.desktop.google.com and then try.

Perhaps it is the "launching" part that I am doing wrong.  How do you "launch" in Windows?  I was first told (error message) that the computer didn't know what program to open the .gg file with.  I don't know either..... Unzip?  What program SHOULD  I associate with it to open (launch?) it?    Thanks for your time on this.

The message which tells you that the system doesn't know how to open
the .gg is usually typicall for non GD4 users trying to install
gadgets. This means that the .gg file extension isn't associated
properly. You can try and open the file with the
GoogleDesktopDisplay.exe file from "Program Files\Google\Google Desktop
Search". But if there still is a problem, i think only the latest
version from www.desktop.google.com can solve this (if you install it,
be sure to restart before trying to launch any .gg file) :)

That worked, thanks!  One entry had me baffled, but I think I figured it out.  Today is a critical day for me emotionally, so the peak button says "max" is in 0 days...... Just because there isn't a max hit in the next 14 days, right?  At first I thought it meant today was max....   Great gadget, thanks! Carol

Yeah i made it only for the next 2 weeks, i figured there was no point
to include past data :)
