Bus reroutes during NASCAR

Basically, the buses are using the Stevenson to get to State Street.

I dearly hope that this is the last year of this crazy misuse of Grant Park, Columbus Drive et al. but there's so much money being thrown virtually if not actually to the pols and restaurant/hotel/tourism interests that no one will have the gumption to point out the emperor (Chicago's need to burnish its image) has no clothes. What a disregard for city residents, in the interest of luring tourists and suburban daytrippers!

But I can't stay grumpy for long, with official fireworks viewing tonight, and our great neighborhood parade tomorrow - The Kenwood HS band has been marching around Kenwood Park the past couple of days, so I hope a Battle of the (Kenwood and King) High School Bands will ensue in Nichols Park - it is a treat!
