🏃 Workout:
In June, Kezar is closed on Wednesday EXCEPT for this week. So this week, let's do something we can only do at the track. We'll do what is often referred to as Yasso 800s. It's a simple workout. At the bottom line, this is just an 800m interval run with a speed goal in mind. Here's one online calculator I found.

https://www.helpfulrunner.com/tools/running-training-pace-calculator.php

So let's say you want to run a full marathon (26.2 miles) in 3h 30m. Using the online calculator, that gets you "3m 28s / 800 meters". Recovery is up to the same amount of running time (3:28) or less. I recommend calculating your time before coming to track. And traditionally, you run at that speed 10 times, but we'll do as many times as you can within 30 ~ 35 minutes.

🔋 Post Workout:
After the workout, let's go to Yancy's Saloon (734 Irving St, between 8th and 9th Ave). It's a dive bar where you can bring your own food. There are many food options around the area. So join us for food and drinks too.

📅 Upcoming Races/Events:
  • June 25 - (Non-Club Race) UCR Angel Island 5 Mile/Half Marathon
  • July 24 - San Francisco Marathon Aid Station Volunteer
  • August 27 - Alameda 10 Miler (Road)
