The topic of this list is the Order of the Golden Dawn, and all
of it's various offshoots, extensions and extrapolations. On-topic
subjects for discussion include:
- The history of the Golden Dawn, Hermeticism, Theurgy, Rosicrucianism,
Thelema
- The influence of the Golden Dawn on Western esotericism
- GD-based ritual workings, their composition, performance and results
- Comparison and contrast of the various offshoots of the original
Order
- Books and resources for Golden Dawn practitioners
- Announcements of Golden Dawn related websites and homepages
- Requests for the location of operating Lodges who are accepting new
members
Membership in a GD organization is not required.
Contributors are expected to treat others on the list with respect and
courtesy. Flame wars and personal insults will be considered grounds
for
removal, at the discretion of the Moderator. A healthy debate over the
various methods and systems that have evolved from the original Order
is
encouraged, but sectarian "wars" and declarations of "One-True-Way"-ism
are specifically OFF TOPIC. All traditions and permutations of the
Golden
Dawn system are equally welcome here. We are here to learn from one
another and encourage each other on the path to Adepthood.
