The development freeze for Go 1.27 starts today, May 20, 2026 at 11:59pm (EST).

Feature or optimization CLs that are still in review after the freeze starts should wait for the freeze to end. See go.dev/s/release for details on the Go release cycle, including its section on freeze exceptions.

Note that the Go 1.27 Release Candidate 1 is scheduled for the second week of June (week of June 8th). Please focus on resolving issues that block the RC 1 release to avoid delays.
