business app gmail not working

I have a gmail account for my business with my business address, not
an @gmail.com address. Ive had this for about a year and a half now,
mostly problem free. Lately I have been having a problem where all of
a sudden the email program starts working. I get a message saying
'Unable to connect to ______ (name of company) Mail. Check Internet
Connection." The error message is right above the chat box.
Other tabs are opened in the browser and continue to work fine,
including, strangely enough, my personal Gmail account.
I am on IE, not actually sure which version, i assume the most
recent.
Any help would be much appreciated. This problem seems to have stumped
several people in my office who are more tech savvy than i am...

Is the problem on your account only, or is everyone having the
problem? If it's just you, try the usual round of clearing cache and
cookies. If it's everyone, have the tech savies look at your firewall
and proxy servers (as appropriate).

Further... as a Google App for your Domain, you have someone
designated with the "admin" account that is responsible for the domain
and could/should help you. They, potentially, have a phone support
with Google that they can call. That's the preferred support method
for that.
