google account with IMAP and web access

Hi, I have a mail account that does not use @gmail.com but it's
provided by google. When I first set it up I accessed from a browser
and activated the IMAP functionality. Now I can access the account
only from e-mail client using IMAP but no longer can access from the
web browser. Any ideas in how to access the account from a web
browser?
