Ive used gmail for my personal email for years. I've used a regular pop3 account from a domain purchased at godaddy for a business email. So my personal account has been qq...@gmail.com and my business account has been in...@comphn.com.

Today I clicked on the gmail for business, used in...@comphn.com as my user and created a pass for what I understand is my Google Account. From that account's Admin Console I have verified my domain and confirmed my recovery email address.

Now I'm guided to Set up my Gmail. This makes me wonder how should I really manage my accounts now.

1. I need to be able to view both my personal gmail and business mail at the same time.

2. My old business and personal emails and contacts are in my personal gmail account which is still configured to check my business pop3 email account.

3. I use the web desktop interface to check my gmail and would continue to do so. But I also use the ios Gmail app and the Acompli Mail app.

Any ideas from someone who might have gone thru the same experience...

Thx

Just click on the circular avatar of yourself on the top-right of your Gmail and then

Add account
. You will now be able to view both at the same time, in different browser tabs.

If you have changed your MX records to those given by Google then you no longer need to check that POP3 account and can turn that off (wait a day or two to be sure all DNS has propagated).

You can switch accounts in the iOS app but not view each inbox simultaneously. For that you will have to add them using the native Mail app. I have never used Acompli but it definitely looks better, thanks for that.

Ciao

Ok, as is usually the case, Im more confused now, but please bare with me:

1.  Right now Im using safari to view my personal gmail which is always signed in, and using firefox to view my new info@ gmail business account.  I see the Add Account button when clicking on the top right avatar of myself.  So that won't CREATE a third account, right?  it'll just 'link' my existing-new-business gmail account to my personal one?  And you say I will be able to view both accounts in the same browser but on different tabs?  Sounds like trouble but Ill trust you :)

2.  I dont understand.  I haven't changed any MX records.  Yesterday I simply clicked on the button to create a Gmail for business, added my existing domain, added the meta tag to my existing website to verify the domain ownership on google, clicked on the link to verify my email address (btw, this was weird because i received the link-verification email at info@domain but since I normally check that in my personal gmail account, I wasn't sure if it meant i was getting my new business email or my old pop3 configured one).  Other than that I haven't changed anything.  What should I do here?

3.  What I want to do is that currently, in Acompli, my default account is my gmail because my business one is only a pop3 which acompli doesn't support yet.  So when I reply to emails, even though I've added an alias for my info business email account, it won't let me set that alias as a reply-with account automatically.  So every time i get an email, i reply and forget to switch from my persona gmail to my info alias, and I end up replying to business contacts using my personal email.  So once I can configure my new business gmail account on it, ill be set!

Thanks

No I will not get naked with you but I will bear with you :P

No it won't create a new account. What will happen is, your browser will open a new tab and you will enter your new business Google account credentials. It will then open that Gmail Inbox in the new tab. Now you will have your personal Gmail Inbox open in one tab and business one in another tab. You will notice in the URL that one will say mail.google.com/mail/u/0 and the other /u/1.
I have up to six different ones!

Normally once you have verified your domain etc. you will also change MX records to point to the Google servers in order to start receiving email in your business Gmail. I will follow-up in your other post.

Ciao
