When I have a long message I need to scroll to the bottom in order to read all of it.  When I get to the end I usually like to apply one or more labels and then archive it.  When I use the dropdown box at the bottom of the message it scrolls my screen back to the top of the message.  I presume Google decided to do this so that I see the undo message at the top, but I find this behavior rather annoying.  Does anyone else?  I didn't tell Gmail I want to jump to the top; I told it I wanted to apply a label.

I know I don't. if it didn't scroll up you'd have no way of knowing your action was performed. I also like to see that the label appeared in the list at the top.
