I guess this year it is very difficult to predict the winner. None of the "stars" are performing and smaller teams are making the most of opportunities. Though I felt Australia was very hard done by the referee yesterday. In my opinion they Could have won the Match had it gone into Extra time.

but the whole thing has really been unfair to the really good teams, like argentina and holland. holland lost becuase of a crazy russian referree who handed out 16 yellow cards (16!!! not a typo!!) and argentina lost in penalties. Penalties are really just luck, and i like the previous method of determining who would advance more. up until 1970, in the world cup, tie games would be determined by the tossing of a coin. That's as fair as penalties, at least...

sadly i agree. i really want france to win though, i think they deserve a win, but italy has a much more solid team.
