Teresa Russell gets her effects on in this tour de force solo rendition of Nena’s ’80s hit “99 Luftballoons.” Her performance is reminiscent of KT Tunstall’s “Big Black Horse.” Teresa plays rhythm guitar, lead guitar and lead and back up vocals, using a looper very effectively. She sings in English and German for this performance. This performance was apparently taped two years ago or so (2009?) but that is not clear, nor is it clear where it was taped.
