to Get Over Him!
I don't believe you can really have a "happily ever after after" a
breakup. The whole breakup/get-back-together scenario reminds me of
"Pet Semetary", that Stephen King movie from the 80s. You know the
one...the adorable blonde boy gets hit by a car; the parent, beside
themselves with grief, can't go on; so the dad does exactly what Fred
Munster told him not to...he buries the boy in the Pet Semetary, and
the kid comes back to life.

Now, the resurrected boy looks the same, even feels the same...at
first. But, soon after, the creep factor starts oozing in. He becomes
an evil little bastard...and actually tries to off his family.

Relationships are kind of like that cute little blonde boy...you want
them back just they way they were, but they will be a different entity.
Probably not as evil as the little blonde boy, but maybe as
disappointing. You'll never get back what you had, because that is
long gone. I think a reconcilliation can only work if both parties see
it as a new start, and can view each other as different people...but
how often does that happen? Do you know of any Pet Semetary stories or
happy endings after an ending?
