Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the returning students, and welcome to Georgetown to
those of you got talked into enrolling by Andrew Cornblatt.

This is the Georgetown Catholic Forum mailing list, and we've got
several events coming up:

1) The biggest anouncement is that this Sunday, September 9, is the

Mass of the Holy Spirit
at 11:00am,
Chapel of St. Thomas Moore.

This is the official welcoming mass for everyone, new and returning
students, and Fr. Alexei and Sr. Dorinda are looking for (a) readers,
and (b) communion ministers. Sign up for either job for this saturday
in the Campus Ministries office, near the Chapel on the first floor.

2) Open House tomorrow, 3:00 to 5:00 in front of the Chapel (1st floor)

Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the campus ministries open house... stop by and
talk to Sr. Dorinda and Fr. Alexei. There will also be information on
the Protestant, Jewish, and Islamic ministries, if you or any of your
friends are interested.

Good luck, y'all!

Hello All!

Three things to announce:

(1) This SUNDAY the 10th of September at 11:00am is the Mass of the
Holy Spirit. I hope you can all come to the St. Thomas More Chapel on
the first floor of the McD building!

(2) Next WEDNESDAY the 13th of September at 3:30 to 5:30 in the Tower
Green is the Student Activities Fair. Catholic Forum will have a
table, so please stop by! If anyone would like to table with me, it
would be good for there to be someone sober to talk to people.

(3) Next WEDNESDAY the 13th of September at 6:00pm is a talk Pro-life
Feminism hosted primarily by the Progressive Alliance for Life.
Whether you are pro-life or pro-choise (as I am, full disclosure), it
promises to be a really interesting talk. I'll let everyone know when
the room is posted.

And a few things to think about:

(A) I was talking to Imam Yahya Hendi, the Muslim chaplain of
Georgetown, and he was interested in possibly having a talk or
discussion with Catholic students here at the Law Center. If anyone is
interested in meeting with him along with me, email me back and we'll
all set up a time together.

(B) Sr. Dorinda Young is setting up a discussion about Feminist
Theology. We'll provide details on those talks as they come up.

Cheers!
