Hi Everyone

1) I need to make a correction to the last email:

God Talk will be on THURSDAY the 2nd of March at 12:30 in Courtside, and it is a really interesting topic this week.

"Traditional religion and domestic violence"

The 5 campus ministers will be discussing the role of religion and traditional notions in domestic violence and combating domestic violence.  They will also be bringing about five people who have had a direct knowledge of the kinds of interactions we will be discussing.
It's looking to be a great discussion, and several students from George Mason and GW may be coming in to discuss with us, as well.

Bring your lunch, as dessert is being provided by Campus Ministries.

2)  Prayer in Daily Life Retreat

Applications for the Prayer in Daily life retreat are due this Friday, along with the $40 fee.  There is a fee waiver available to anyone who needs it.  The forms are available outside the ministry office.

3) Fish Fries

CF will be hosting several fish fries over Lent, and we're really excited about them.  Dean O'Neill has offered to host one, and we're putting together the list right now.  If you're possibly interested, we'll keep you posted here.

4) Ash Wednesday

There will be a mass (with ashes)at 12:30 on Ash Wednesday this week, and a prayer service with ashes at 5:00 in the chapel.

5) NCAA Pool for Campus Ministries

Campus ministries will be running an NCAA pool this year, with all the proceeds going to charity.  First/second/third prizes are $150/100/50 respectively, and G'town is looking good this year to boot.

Entry is $5 a bracket and forms will be available starting the Monday after spring break, March 13.

Hope to see everyone on Thursday!

- Mark
