I've had to check for spam a couple of times a day, recently. There has  been an uptick in spam "members" posting multiple spam messages every day. This has only been a problem this week.

I  ban these fake members, and delete the messages,  but you may see a few get through,  before I can catch them. Google Groups has  been pretty good at stopping these posts, until recently. I hope they will "up their game," so that I can stop micro-managing the members/posts.

I’ve found that requiring new members to answer a revealing question or two helps keep the spammers out, also an option for first post or first few posts to be moderated helps as well. Yes, more work for moderators up front.

The same thing has been occurring on the Antiprism list, but Google is
now holding these messages back for approval.
