the artists' newsletters I subscribe to. I fell in love with her
unique style.

BLOG CORNER: RSS FEEDS PART 2
------------------------------------------------------------
A blog is a bit like an online journal where the author posts entries
to share with the world. Some blogs are updated daily, others just
once in a blue moon.
Have you read any blogs? Subscribed to any? Some people when they get
started reading blogs subscribe to them by email, which means they
get an email every time there is a new post. That works pretty well
if you only follow a few blogs, but as you subscribe to more and more
blogs, the number of emails can get very large. For that we use RSS
(Real Simple Syndication) which allows tracking of blog posts --
among other things.
I subscribe to more than 50 blogs (some people subscribe to
hundreds!), so the email solution wouldn't work for me. I use a free
RSS aggregator service that lets me set up some web pages with all
the blogs I subscribe to. It's called NetVibes.
On NetVibes, you can subscribe to as many blogs as you wish, and also
have some cool stuff like weather or search panels. You can have
several tabs that let you categorize the information. Each blog
appears in a panel where you can instantly see which ones have new
posts since the last time you checked. A feature in the next version
will allow you to share your favourites with the world.
