Parables Resources for next SS study-please review

Dear Lillia: 

 

For the parables of Jesus, The Serendipity Class also asked us for recommendations.  We recommended the following:

·         Parables from the Back Side Vol. 1 & 2 (Behind the Pages) Paperback by J. Ellsworth Kalas  Joseph’s best friend loved using this in the churches he served.    Carol is pretty sure this has been used at JK .  The class is presently using this one.  You might check Angie Howell or Bill/Pat Fuller to find out their experience with it.

·         Also,  Moore, James W.  Jesus' Parables about Priorities.  Abingdon Press.  2008.  Moore also wrote 6 Amazing Bible Stories to Strangely Warm Our Hearts  (Joseph is relatively sure this one is not on parables, but FYI   Dr. Moore is a well respected United Methodist minister and author of a number of good Bible Study books.    A number of his books have been used at JK.

·         Also, Carol noticed this from Faith Alive, a really good publisher with Discover the Parables of Jesus (and leader’s guide).
