At the conference of this association held at Nottingham, we note that in the exhibition of apprentices competitive work class 1, R. WOODWORTH, jun., son of Mr. WOODWORTH, painter, Duke Street, Whitehaven, takes the 3rd prize value £1 1s for original design in colour drawn to scale for the decoration hall and staircase in Villa, value £50 or £60 a year. We understand this is his first attempt and the first prize brought to Cumberland.
