[According to the Copeland Registers Index, the bride's name was Sarah BAYNES; they married on 13 May 1779 at St. James, Whitehaven.]

 

A few days ago at Kirkby Lonsdale, in Westmorland, Richard GATHORNE, Esq. to Miss BAINBRIG, of that place.

[According to FamilySearch, the bride's forename was Elizabeth; they married on 06 May 1779.]

 

Tuesday last at Broughton (by the Rev. Mr. GILPIN) Mr. Anthony ATKINSON, to Miss Agnes STANLEY, both of that place.

[According to the Marriage Bond, he was a Butcher; they were both single and aged 21. According to FamilySearch, they married on 11 May 1779 at Broughton in Furness.]

Last Tuesday at Low-Walton, near this town, Mr. John ELLERA, in an advanced age.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, John ELLERAY of Low Walton was buried on 14 May 1779 at St. Nicholas, Whitehaven.]

 

Thursday last, at Wigton, after a lingering illness, Miss Ann WHITEHEAD.
