MARRIED

 

A few days ago at Lowick in Lancashire, by the Rev. Mr. FOREST, Mr. Myles JACKSON of Tottlebank, to Miss TAYLOR of Appletree-Holm.

[According to the Marriage Bond, they were Myles JACKSON of Subberthwaite, Husbandman, aged 30, and Agnes TAYLOR of Appletree-Holme, Spinster, aged 21, both in the Parish of Ulverston. According to FamilySearch, they married on 23 Feb 1779 at St. Mary, Ulverston.]

 

Lately at Ulpha in this county, Mr. Matthew CARTER of Crook, to Miss PERRY of the same place.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Matthew CARTER and Ann PERRY married on 20 Feb 1779 at Thwaites, Cumberland.]

 

DIED

 

Yesterday se'ennight, at Distington, in the 64th year of his age, Capt. George Augustus BLAKENEY, of the Iniskillen reg. of foot; he was many years in the service, and greatly respected.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, he was buried on 28 Feb 1779 at Distington.]

 

Saturday last in New-Lowther-street, in the 19th year of his age, Mr. Thomas KELSICK, son of Isaac KELSICK, Esq.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, he was buried on 09 Mar 1779 at St. Nicholas, Whitehaven.]
