At Park in Galloway; John DALRYMPLE, Esq.; captain of the 14th regiment of infantry, to Miss HAY, only daughter of the late Sir Thomas HAY of Park, Bart.

A few days ago, Mr. Ambrose HENNA of Blue Dial near Allonby.

 

Last week, at Allonby, in an advanced age, Mr. Jonathan WILLIAMSON, one of the people called Quakers.

[According to the Quaker Register, Jonathan WILLIAMSON of Allonby in the Parish of Bromfield, aged 79, died on 31 Mar 1779, and was buried on 02 Apr 1779 in Friends Burying-Ground at Allonby.]

 

Last week at Old Mowbray in this county, Mr. Thomas CLARK, aged 52.

 

A few days ago, in an advanced age, Mr. WESTRAY of Great Broughton near Cockermouth.

On Saturday the 3d inst. at Sorn Castle in Ayrshire in the 99th year of her age, the Countess of Loudon, widow of the late Hugh Earl of Loudon.

[According to Wikipedia, she was Lady Margaret, daughter of John DALRYMPLE, 1st Earl of Stair, and Elizabeth DUNDAS; she had married in 1700 her cousin Hugh CAMPBELL (c.1671-1731), 3rd Earl of Loudoun.]
