Lately, Mr. William FOUNTAIN, of St. Pancras, London, to Miss Jane BELL, third daughter of Mrs. BELL, of Westgate-street, Newcastle, relict of Mr. John BELL, formerly an officer in his Majesty's Customs at that port.—In a recent notice of this marriage (copied by us from a York paper) it was stated that the lady above-mentioned is the Miss BELL who brought an action against Mr. HILL, the Methodist Minister, at the late York Assizes. We are desired by Mr. FOUNTAIN, from London, and a friend of his wife's residing in Newcastle, to contradict the statement in the most pointed manner, and we do it the more readily, as the error, we observe, is still going the round of the papers. We have seen it in six or eight—but with whom it originated we know not.

We have this week to announce the death of the Rev. William GILLESPIE, minister at Kells, who expired on Saturday the 15th instant, in the 50th year of his age, and the 20th of his ministry. In 1800, Mr. GILLESPIE was appointed assistant to his father, and six years afterwards, succeeded that revered and venerable clergyman. Three short months have not yet elapsed since his friends had to congratulate him on his union with a lady to whom he had been long and tenderly attached. Mr. G. was highly celebrated for his writings both in poetry and prose.
His Majesty the King of Bohemia, died on the 13th instant, of apoplexy, in the 70th year of his age. He is succeeded by the Prince Royal of Bavaria, who was born in 1786, and married in 1810, to a Princess of the House of Saxe-Hildburghausen.—A similar calamity has caused the death of the Prince de Carignan, cousin to the heir presumptive to the Sardinian Throne, and a general officer in the French service. He was found dead in his carriage.
