A few days ago at St. Andrews in the Isle of Mann, by the Rev. Archdeacon MYLREA, Mr. BROUGH, to Miss Sally WILSON.

[According to Manx National Heritage, John SAYLE (not BROUGH) and Sarah WILSON, daughter of Henry WILSON, married on 24 Nov 1778 at Andreas.]

 

Tuesday se'ennight, at Ramsey, in the Isle of Mann, by the Rev. Mr. CRELLIN, Mr. John HUNTER, to Miss Peggy KELLY both of that Place.

[According to Manx National Heritage, John HUNTER and Margaret KELLY already married on 16 Aug 1778 at Maughold.]

 

Sunday last at the same place, Mr. John KERMOADE, to Miss Bella CRENNAL.

Same day at Ramsey, Mr. Edward CHRISTIAN of League, to Miss NEWSHAM, formerly of Liverpool.

Yesterday se'ennight in Brick-street, Mrs. BOWES, wife of Mr. Darcy BOWES, ship-builder in this town.

[According to the Parish Register Transcript, Elizabeth BOWES, wife of Darcy, of Brick Street, was buried on 08 Dec 1778 at St. Nicholas, Whitehaven.]

 

Wednesday last, in Church-street, Mrs. THOMPSON, wife of Capt. James THOMPSON of this place.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Ann THOMPSON was buried on 11 Dec 1778 at St. James, Whitehaven.]

 

Thursday last in Queen-street, in the 20th year of her age, after a sickness of two days only, Miss TEMPLE, daughter of the late Mr. Henry TEMPLE of this town.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Biddy TEMPLE was buried on 13 Dec 1778 at St. James, Whitehaven.]

 

Thursday last in Cross-street, Mrs. BENSON, aged 86 years; that afternoon she had attended a funeral at St. James's Church, from whence she returned, and expired soon after.

[According to the Parish Register Transcript, Elizabeth BENSON, Widow, of Queen Street, was buried on 11 Dec 1778 at St. Nicholas, Whitehaven.]
