At St. Fort, Fifeshire, W. F. BLACKETT, Esq. second son of Christopher BLACKETT, Esq. of Wylam, Northumberland, to Catherine, second daughter of the late Robert STEWART, Esq. of St. St. Fort [sic].
DEATHS.
This morning (Friday), at his residence in Castle-street, Thos. BENSON, Esq. of this City, aged 66. Mr. BENSON served the office of High Sheriff for Cumberland in 1814. We understand this benevolent gentleman has bequeathed the interest of £5000 to the indigent poor of the parishes of St. Cuthbert and St. Mary, Carlisle, to be distributed annually by the Minister and Churchwardens of St. Cuthbert for the time being, and by Mr. DOBINSON and his heirs.
At Penrith, on the 28th ult. Mr. John BULMAN, aged 72. Same place, on the 31st, Joseph EALAND, many years boots at the New Crown Inn. On the 7th inst. Mr. John SMILLIE, late tobacconist, aged 76.
At Blencogo, near Wigton, Mrs. Elizabeth BARNES, aged 61 years, after a lingering disorder.
Monday last, at Maryport, Mrs. Elizabeth PAISE.
At Armboth, near Keswick, on Sunday evening the 30th Oct., after a lingering illness, Mr. Edward Washington JACKSON, solicitor, aged 33, second son of Wilson JACKSON, Esq. of that place. His remains were were [sic] deposited in the family vault at Crosthwaite Church, near to those of his wife, who died four years ago.—On the 1st ult. Joseph, son of Mr. SCURR, of Keswick, joiner and cabinet maker, aged 5 years. On the 2nd, Mary, daughter of Mr. Edward BARRON, aged 11.
At Bootle, Mrs. Ann KITCHIN, wife of Mr. John KITCHIN, post-master of that place, in her 61st year. Same place, Mrs. Catherine PARK, in her 75th year.
At Gosforth, Mr. Peter MOSSOP, bacon-curer and flour-dealer, aged 51. At Yottenfews, Beckermont, in the prime of life, Mrs. WOOD.
At Workington, on the 3d. inst. Mr. John HODGSON.
At Annan, on Thursday last, after a lingering illness Ottiwell WOOD, Esq. At the same place, at an advanced age, Mr. John LITTLE, writer. In Hoddam parish, Mr. BLACKADDER, factor to Gen. SHARPE, Hoddam.
At his residence in Essex, the Rev. Thomas HOLMES, B. D. Fellow of St. John's College, Cambridge, son of the late Mr. Thomas HOLMES, of Sedbergh.
At Parkgate-hall, on the 6th instant, Mrs. Ann MURRAY, aged 83, wife of Mr. Wm. MURRAY, formerly of Brackenthwaite.
At Trafford-hall, near Chester, the residence of his son, where he was staying on a short visit, the Rev. Richard PERRYN, M. A., son of the late Honourable Sir Richard PERRYN, Knt. one of the Barons of his Majesty's Court of Exchequer, and Vice Chamberlain of the County Palatine of Chester.
