DEATHS.
In English-street, on Thursday evening last, after a long and painful illness, borne with exemplary patience and resignation, Mr. William BOWMAN, formerly of Great Salkeld, aged 62.
In Scotch-street, on the 30th ult., of a lingering illness, Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. John SKELTON, butcher, aged 18.
On Monday last, in Botchergate, Mr. Isaac ROBINSON, aged 88 years.
Since our last, Mr. David PALMER, of Damside, English-street, aged 83.
On the 1st inst. at Maryport, aged 40 years, Mr. John HENDERSON, surveyor of taxes for Allerdale Ward below Derwent, in this county, and eldest son of the late Mr. James HENDERSON, of this city, much respected.
On Friday se'nnight, at Whiteclose-gate, in the parish of Stanwix, Mrs. Ann CUBBY, aged 78.
In Albion Street, Whitehaven, Mr. John GILLESPIE, aged 42. At Mount Pleasant, Mr. P. M'DONALD, 32.
At Winscales, on Saturday last, Mr. Isaac SIMON, 78.
At his house, at Portinscale, on Saturday 24th Sept. Mr. John CLARK, in the 87th year of his age. The deceased was a person of an uncommonly strong constitution; he worked at his trade (joiner and carpenter) till within a few months of his death. At Keswick, on the 5th inst. at the house of her daugher, Mrs. CHERRY, Mrs. Mary FISHER, advanced in years, formerly of Newlands.
At Gilcrux, in her 66th year, Mrs. Mary FEARON, wife of Mr. Joseph FEARON, of that place.
At Ambleside, Catharine, wife of John HARRISON, Esq. aged 52.
At Appleby, a few days ago, in the prime of life, after a lingering illness, Mary, only daughter of Mr. Miles STORROW, carpenter.
At Lancaster, Mr. Robt. MARR, aged 65, coal-agent to Lord Balcarras, and formerly a captain in the West India trade, of that port.
On the 8th ult. at Blackburn, Lancashire, Thomas TURNER, Esq., principal of the wealthy manufacturing house there of Robert TURNER & Sons.
On the 11th July, at Sierra Leone, coast of Africa, of the fever of that country, Thomas INGLIS, Esq. Deputy Inspector of Hospitals, son of the Rev. Wm. INGLIS, Dumfries.
At Maxwelltown, on Friday, Mr. J. M'LAUCHLAN 75.
At Dumfries, suddenly, on Saturday last, Mr. Jas. DRUMMOND, jun.
