Francis ROWDEN, rector of Cuxham and Ibstone, in the county of Oxford, formerly fellow of Merton College, to Catherine Charlotte, only daughter of the Rev. W. BENSON, D. D. of Cockermouth, rector of Hampton Poyle and South Weston, vicar of Ledgers Ashby, in the county of Northampton, and formerly Fellow of Queen's College.

 

June 30th, at Croydon, Dickinson BIRKETT, youngest son of the late John BIRKETT, Esq. Whitehaven, to Jane, third daughter of John BIRKETT, Esq. Norwood.

DEATHS.

 

At St. Nicholas, near this city, on Saturday morning last, after a lingering illness, Mr. STUDHOLME, aged 80, very highly and deservedly respected.

 

On Tuesday morning last, at the house of her brother-in-law, (Mr. T. IRVING, innkeeper, Wigton,) whither she had recently gone upon a visit, Mrs. Ann RAILTON, wife of Mr. Isaac RAILTON, of this city, aged 49 years.

 

Since our last, Mr. Thos. SANDERSON, Shaddongate, aged 44. Mrs. Jane GRAHAM, of the Sally Port, aged 83. Mr. John CONELLY, of Botcherby, aged 25.

 

On the 25th ult., at Drybeck, in the parish of Ainstable, aged 37, Mrs. DIXON, wife of Mr. Caleb DIXON, much respected.

 

On Saturday last, at Egremont, Mr. Henry BRAGG, shoemaker and sexton, aged 73 years. There is scarcely an aged person in the parish to whom honest Harry had not shown the ground which he intended to reserve for their last home; and spoke of this part of his business to people much younger than himself with as much certainty as if he had been destined to dig graves to the end of time.

 

At Workington, Mrs. Mary BURNS, aged 35. Mrs. Martha YOUNGER, aged 81.

 

At Rogerscale, near Cockermouth, Mrs. STAINTON, wife of Mr. Thomas STAINTON, aged 51.

 

At Black Dyke, Abbey Holm, Mr. R. LAWSON, 19.

 

On Monday last, at Maryport, Mrs. HUDDART, wife of Mr. John HUDDART, aged 70.

 

On Sunday the 27th day of June last, at Bury Saint Edmond's, in the county of Suffolk, Wm. ARMSTRONG, Esq. a native of this city. He was a man universally respected for his exemplary piety and moral worth; having for nearly 70 years diligently searched the records of immortality.

 

At Kirkbystephen, Miss NAPTON, in prime of life.

 

At Thorpe Arch, in his 74th year, the Rev. F. WILKINSON, M. A. Vicar of Bardsey, Yorkshire.

 

At Appleby, a few days ago, James, the infant son of Mr. Wm. WHARTON. Same place, on Monday last, James WOOF, senior.

 

At Douglas, Isle of Man, Mr. Brien ATKINSON, waiter at the White Lion Hotel. Isabella, wife of Mr. James M'GREGOR, mason, aged 36.
