Lately by the Rev. Mr. BROCKBANK, at Ulpha, Mr. Hartley CARTER, of Crook, to Miss Dinah CASSON, of Lowherst, both in the same parish.

Early on Sunday morning, in the 74th year of her age, Mrs. BIRKHEAD, post-mistress of this town. She was greatly beloved and respected through life by a very numerous and extensive acquaintance, and died amidst such decent sorrows of her nearer connexions, as are naturally excited by the recollection of a life spent in the faithful discharge of those duties which endear the parent and the friend, and mark the sincere Christian.
