Many of you have asked about, and have quoted Bennett Greenspan's
comment at the 4th Annual FTDNA Conference on Genetic Genealogy, that
in early 2008 we'd be offering the R1b U SNP's, known as U106 and U152
(also called: S21/S28).
We are pleased to announce today that a mini panel containing those
SNP's (as well as U198 and P107) are now available.
Thomas Krahn, who heads Family Tree DNA's Genomics Research Center in
Houston, says he's ready to test "en masse", and the web site is now
offering this product to those who have tested previously at FTDNA and
were found to be negative for any of the SNP's downstream from M269
that are tested in the Deep R1b panel. In the next 8 weeks we'll be
incorporating these new SNP's into a newly designed R1b panel for all
customers of Family Tree DNA who wish to determine placement on the R
branch of the tree of mankind.
As always, thank you for your continued support.
