hello
I tried to export my data from this file:

GeneID SystemCode Label Head Remarks MAPPName
NM_014892 Q RBM16 RetinoMAPP
NM_000817 Q GAD1 RetinoMAPP
NM_012262 Q HS2ST1 RetinoMAPP
NM_001941 Q DSC3 RetinoMAPP
NM_014260 Q HKE2 RetinoMAPP
NM_003204 Q NFE2L1 RetinoMAPP
NM_003336 Q UBE2A RetinoMAPP
NM_015669 Q PCDHB5 RetinoMAPP
NM_014893 Q NLGN4X RetinoMAPP

(Head and remarks are blank)

and i used the genemapp-->Data-->ExpressionDataset Manager and i get
this message:

28 errors were detected in your raw data. Check the exception file...

I check the error file and says that every gene is:
"Gene not found in RefSeq or any related system"

The GeneID are those from ncbi, i thought there were the RefSeq,
because in the example file i identified as RefSeq, but i want to know
what system code are this IDs or if anything else is wrong in my
file.

I hope you could help me.

Thanks.
Jeanette

Hello Jeanette,

The RefSeq system in the GenMAPP databases does include NM IDs, but it
is possible that some IDs in your data are too new/old to be in the
database. What's the total number of IDs in your data? If the majority
of your dataset is not imported, consider using another ID for your
data. For example, if your data is from an Affymetrix array, use the
probe set ID as the primary ID in the data.

Your data seems to be formatted for MAPPBuilder. As mentioned in a
previous email to you, MAPPBuilder is not for importing data. Instead,
you should format your data for import through the Expression Dataset
Manager (which I see that you are using). Details on input data format
can be found here: http://www.genmapp.org/help_v2/ExpressionDatasetManager.htm#RawDataFileFormat

Hope this helps.

Kristina
