Hi Mark!

I don't get as far west as Texas.

I am in Tallahassee. Do get to Port Fousheon, Lousiana, and up and down the East coast. I think that we do have a couple of guys in Texas, and Arkansas, but I have not seen them on line or posting messages recently.

Tell us about yourself.
Do you fish from boat, shore or... (that is,  row v wade?)  (sorry, that just kinda slipped out.)

Where  in Texas are you?
What kind of fishing do you do? River,  lake or resevoir?
Fresh or Salt?
Bass, trout, panfish, stripers, sturgeon or catfish?
Artificials, live or dead bait?
Fly, spin or bait casting

In other words, tell us something about yourself! And your fishing interests. We want to get to know you and start a dialogue.

By the way, in case I forgot, WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

Tight lines!

Frank

Hey Frank,

THanks for the welcome

I dont have a boat..had a choice (boat or shop) picked the shop.

I do fish alot. Mostly in rivers, creeks and lakes. I fish for anything that will take the bait. I have recently taken up flyfishing, and am having a great time with it...I have waders and do venture out in the water to get to the good spots..

NOrmally I use either DK bait for cats, spoons for bass and flies depending on the location and the critters that are in the area for those specific fish. Baby large mouth bass have been quite active here lately in the Ray Roberts area and in the grasslands. Must be the time of year.. Cats have been "sleeping". I think its too hot for all of them and they have gone deep to cool off... Fall will tell for sure.

I live in north central texas. A buddy and I do fish up at the LBJ Grasslands (National Reserve) northwest of Decatur. Its really quiet and nice up there.

I just got back from doing some deep sea fishing (July) down in POrt Aransas. Had an awesome time. It was incredible. Havent done that in about 15 years.

I fish all year long. Nothing really stops me from fishing with the exception of below freezing temps in late January. There are a few lakes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but I try to stay away from the more popular ones to do the intense boat and sea doo traffic. Nothin ticks me off more than people not paying attention to my lines...(ok, i feel better now).

Thanks again for the welcome, much appreciated.

Looking forward to chattin it up with this group...

Mark
