Hey folks,

We have spun up a site that will turn your maps into the format we use in Gaia. We would appreciate any feedback you might have, and we can make some improvements.

To import a map:

2) make an account
3) upload a map file
4) "rectify" the map by choosing points that correspond to the reference map (OpenStreetMap)

Once saved:

1) go to the Export tab on the site
2) choose the Gaia URL link
3) paste that URL into Safari on your device, and Gaia will open and add the map source

The code for this site was originally created for the New York Public Library. Jeff Johnson, friend of the company, spun up a copy we can use in Gaia. He is cced to hear your feedback. Many thanks to Jeff for his efforts!

Regards,
Andrew

If any of you have maps you want to try that are over the 5MB limit,
lemme know and I can try to help figure out how to get them up and
into the site.
