apple watch plans?

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you have any apple watch plans.

I know I'd love to be able to see my stats & location while hiking with out taking my iPhone out.

Also while kayaking last summer (Summer what's that?) I used gaia allot on new rivers. The issue was I almosted dropped my iPhone into the water a few times while checking where I was on tops maps (in Gaia of course). At that point I knew what the killer device for me would be, a watch with an app that would show me topo maps!

I am disappointed that Gaia isn't available on the release day.  I think many people are grossly underestimating the demand.

The apple watch release day is april 24th. Who says it won't be available?

Well, haven't heard anything about testing or feedbacks about the watch here, so I am assuming after the release date if and when it gets released.

I can confirm that we already made a Gaia watch app, and we'll be ready to send to Apple as soon as we're allowed :)

awesome andrew great news!! you guys need to create some animated gifs and send them off to some apple sites like macrumors or 9to5mac.

They are starving for apple watch app info and it will get Gaia some good exposure

Thanks, we'll consider doing that. The app is fully functional, but doing some visual design stuff still. 

I doubt we can make it available for testing before release, because we'll be sending it to Apple before the iWatch is released.

Thats fine I don't think anyone has an apple watch yet.

But this is the time to get your watch app info out to those sites. Since after launch there will be so many apps I doubt any of them would think its news. Also it would really get people to check it out once they get the watch (maybe get the app before too) and who knows maybe apple with pick Gaia again for one of their watch campaigns.. To me having a topo map/location/stats on a watch is Extremely useful.
