Gordon has just alerted me to the recent spam that appeared on this
list, much to my disgust. I've banned the offender who had joined and
spammed some 70+ Google Groups, but I suspect that more will follow. I
think this is an example of a 'spammer sweatshop', where spam
factories employ people simply to trawl the web joining fora, creating
blogs, setting up dummy sites, etc, to evade automated anti-spambot
measures. I can't set the group such that I have to approve each new
member, but I have set new member posts to be moderated so they should
come to me for approval and not go to the list straight away, as is
currently the case. I have zero tolerance for spam, and a bitter
hatred of spammers, so I promise you I'll do all I can to keep this
list spam-free.
