For anyone interested, the Critical Transport Scholars is starting to meet up this fall.  It's a student driven group of scholars from the NYC area (GC, Columbia, Rutgers and other schools) interested in critical, radical and social justice oriented research on transportation.  Email Do dosikz[at]gmail[dot]com for more info.  Please feel free to join us for some upcoming gatherings:

A Discussion with Dr. Devajyoti Deka 
Tuesday, October 7, 6 - 8 p.m. 
CUNY Graduate Center, 365 5th Ave, Room 5409 
Dr. Deka is one of the country's leading scholars on transport and equity, and author of a seminal paper on the topic, published in Hanson and Giuliano's edited volume, The Geography of Urban Transportation.  He currently serves as the Assistant Director for Research at  Rutger's Voorhees Transportation Center.
