Job Description: What You Will Be Doing



Work with game teams to understand their research needs and translate these into an actionable plan.

Conduct usability playtests, gameplay playtests, and heuristic reviews on Tencent games and present the findings back to teams in a clear, actionable format.

Defines the criteria for participant selection.

Support game teams to plan out a user research strategy for the lifecycle of their game.

Explore new research methods and opportunities in-line with changes in the games industry.



About You



You are a keen gamer, up to date with a wide variety of genres and platforms.

You are passionate about games user research and assessing the player experience.

You are a team player, keen on collaborating with colleagues and contributing to group projects.



Qualifications and Experience



You have experience in designing and running games user research studies across a variety of platforms

You are familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methods, and have experience running both usability and gameplay playtests.

You are likely to have a degree in relevant discipline such as experimental/social/cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction, or equivalent industry experience. An MSc or PhD is a plus.
