We voted the time of our meeting this evening.
The result is that our meeting will be shift to EVERY SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
So every Sunday 3-5 PM, see you at Green Town clubhouse.
Next meeting will be held this Sunday(Jul 12) afternoon 3-5pm!!!

We had a wonderful meeting on 7th July! It’s full of passion creativity and funny story. The most exciting things were: Xiao Yang and Cindy came back and joint with us, we also had a new guest Robert.
The theme was Communications, we all know the important of communication, as we have different angle and different opinion to see questions, if we are lack of communication, and there will be a lot of mistakes. Jessica as the toastmaster gave a sample to support the important of communication .A intellectual went to the capital for the nation contest , and one night he had a strange dream ,he told this dream to two different persons ,heard different answers, and got different results .How important the communications !
Jane provided a great suggestion and we had a good new part, to introduce the western custom. As we are not only need to practice the communication skills and leadership skill, we should also know the different custom between the western and eastern, in this way, we could have more efficient communications. Jane introduced the different meaning for: sorry and Excuse me, we use the word “sorry” a lot of times in our daily life, but it’s better for us to use this word when we really make a mistake, in other situations, like we want to borrow something or we push a car in a supermarket and want others to stand by side, we should say “excuse me”.
For the table topics sections, Lydia offered us so many interesting and impressive questions:
First speaker Denny,” if your girlfriend loves you very much, you have to break with her, what you should say. Denny gave a good reason ,as he imagine his GF always travel out and he was lonely at home every day, they have different lifestyle and are not matched at all .
Second speaker Sharron, if she wants to buy another car, what would she say in order to persuade her husband. She said if they had another car, they would have a better life, with her soft voice ,her husband must be persuaded.
Third speaker Robert, if he want his boss increase his salary ,what would he say. He said to his boss, the company still have good performance in this bad finance situation, if they want improve their revenue ,they need more time and more persons ,if he got the salary increase ,he would take more time to earn more money for company.
Forth speaker Cindy, if she fell in love with others, what would she said to her husband, she told a real story about her friend ,she had the exact experience with our questions, but the result is she had to face more trouble and pressure .
Fifth speaker Jessica, if she need fire some body ,what should she say, the question meet the right person ,she has many similar experience ,1 she should find the legal reason in order to fire the body,2 talk with the person and give the positive evaluation ,tell he why he has to leave company,3give personal help. From Jessica ‘s speech ,we know she really is a professional HR.
Sixth speaker Ted ,what should he say to his friend if his friend lost his job, he want to congratulations to his friends ,as he may get better job and have time to study, with his sweet words and kindly help ,I think his friend could get over this difficulty ,
Seventh speaker Xiao yang, if her friend want to borrow money from her ,what would she say. She would borrow money to her friend at first, but some one did’t keep the promise ,so maybe she say no to someone.
Eighth speaker Charly ,if his friend has the wrong dress style ,what should he say ,he think his friend ‘s strong point is not her looking, if she could pay more attention on her work and she would get great success ,I think it’s really a hard suggestion for this girl.
Last speaker Julie, if her boss want she do some impossible project ,what would she say, she think the boss not only care the result ,but also take more care about the actions and effort.
In the second parts,Charly and Jane gave us a good sample speech.
Charly’s speech title was intercultural communication ,he use some funny story to tell us if we did’t have good communication with the foreigners ,we may make a lot of jokes and some mistakes. We all enjoy Charly’s wonderful speech.
Jane’s title was timing ,she used her personal experience to tell us the important of the time .we were total attracted by her interesting story ,how she got the insurance and the discount jewelry .
The speech evaluator Lydia and Denny, the general evaluator Cindy ,gave every speaker detailed evaluations and very useful suggestions .
We had a successful meeting again ,every member enjoy it and could get something from it ,looking forward to seeing you next time!
