There has been some questions about how over dues are handled. Our goal is to get library materials back, so it can be circulated to other patrons.

Friendly reminder, are your items overdue?!
If you have an item overdue, it is your responsibility to return the items.
Remember YOU can call us or email us to renew! If there are no holds on the item for another patron, you can renew books up to 2 times. Books are 2 week check out, each renewal is for 2 weeks, for a total of 6 WEEKS FOR BOOKS!
DVD's & Blu-rays are 1 week check out with 1 renewal for a total of 2 weeks!
If there is a hold on the item for another patron, sorry we can't renew it.
It's easy to overlook when your items are due, That's why our library has multiple automatic emails scheduled to help YOU to remember your items need to be renewed or returned. It is important to let the librarians know if you have changed emails or phone numbers.
ALL Patrons with a valid email on their account receive the following..
* First scheduled email is sent the day before your item is due
* Second scheduled email is sent the day the item is due
* Third scheduled email is sent the day after your item is due
Our system also sends out weekly & monthly reminders to all patrons that have overdue items.
Our goal is to get the items returned before we have to start the Overdue process!
* If the items are still overdue on the following Tuesday, the "overdue" librarian gives you a courtesy call requesting you to renew or return your items. (1st week item is overdue)
* If the items are still overdue, the "overdue" librarian mails you a letter on Thursday (1-2 weeks item is overdue).
* If the items are Still overdue on the following Thursday
(2-3 weeks item is overdue), the "overdue" librarian sends the information to the City.
*If the items are STILL OVERDUE the following Thursday
(4-6 weeks item is overdue), a court letter is sent from the court clerk.
It's a long process giving you plenty of opportunity to return the items!
