Dear Leader Moon,

Thank you very much for being so generous with your time last Friday regarding our proposal of a bill to require that candidates on a general election ballot must be eligible to serve in the offices they seek. We hope this big hole in Maryland's election law can be filled.

We learned about the requirement that the AG must have practiced law in Maryland for 10 years, and we will adopt your suggestion that candidates must certify their eligibility. This advice was so valuable to us.

We will be meeting with Vice Chair Wilkins on February 7. If it would be possible for you to speak with her and indicate your approval of our concept, that would be greatly appreciated.
