Hey everyone,

Has anyone seen glmdenoise used in a reinforcement learning context? The examples shown in the original paper seem to focus on visual neuroscience experiments. I did a quick search for RL papers that use glmdenoise but didn't see anything, so thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Krista -

I am not aware of those types of studies specifically. I guess, the only and main concern would be whether the assumptions of the method are met. The main assumption here being: do you have experimental conditions that are expected to evoke reliable/consistent BOLD responses across trials in your experiment?  If you have an experiment where every trial is expected to unique/different, then this type of experiment would be challenging to denoise with high confidence of accuracy.

Thanks, Kendrick! My labmates and I may have figured out a solution. If this works out, then I'll post about it so that there's somewhere to start for anyone else interested in RL applications.
