An interesting forum coming up:
Penetrating the Rhetoric on Key Election Issues

Raj Bhala, University of Kansas School of Law
November 6th, 2016  •  10:00 AM
All Souls  4501 Walnut, KCMO
**Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend. Be sure to set your clocks back one hour.**

Among the most contentious issues in the presidential campaign are international trade and Islam. Should the US press ahead with a free trade agenda, and approve the Trans Pacific Partnership? How should the US engage Muslim communities (both at home and abroad)?

Rakesh "Raj" Bhala is Assoc. Dean for International and Comparative Law at KU Law School and also holds degrees in economics from Duke University and the London School of Economics.

Raj hopes to cut through the partisan rancor, and offer helpful insights about international trade agreements, and about Islamic Law (Shari’a), just in time for the general election.

Forum is rebroadcast on KKFI 90.1 FM Wednesdays (tonight) at 6pm.

Two Sundays ago, the live Forum was "Eastside Fighting for Economic Renewal" with Karen Curls and Colleagues.

That topic is already on the archives page/link below. Not sure if that is the topic for tonight’s 6 pm show.

This past Sunday’s topic (not sure if it will be tonight’s rebroadcast) that will soon be available on the archives link:
Kansas City Public Schools
What's new for 2016-2017?

Mark Bedell, KCPS Superintendent

KC Public Schools entered the 2016-17 school year with a number of changes including a new Superintendent, and a new base of operations on historically significant Troost Avenue.

Dr. Bedell comes to KC with a diverse background and an explicit commitment to being in, and of, the KCPS community. He will share his aspirations and his expectations for community support.
