Hi Ladies,

I'm pleased to announce that we're bringing back Girls in Tech. The lovely Kate Brown, who moved back to NYC to kick some butt, has passed the role of managing director on to me. In the coming weeks, I'll be setting a date for our first meeting and outlining goals and priorities. I'm planning to keep the group fairly simple and straightforward. Over time, I hope that we get the momentum to take on some larger projects, but for now we'll be focusing on sharing ideas and teaching each other key skills.

In the meantime, here's what you can do to help:

1. Make sure ladies know about us. You can add them to the Google group (or have me do that), and have them fan the Facebook page.

2. Brainstorm your own skills. I'll be reaching out to ask different people to spend 10-20 minutes educating the group on something in tech.

3. Offer up a meeting space that can hold 20-30 people

I'm very excited to get this going! Please send questions, concerns, and free dessert my way.

Thanks for picking up the reins on this one! I think you'll do a great job and am happy to help out however I can. Of course, that being said, I'm also nine months pregnant and may not be all that helpful for long. ;)

I'm pretty sure that I can offer up the Quick Left office space as a possibility for a meeting space. We've definitely had more people than that in our office for an event so it wouldn't be a problem. Not sure we can use the office as a permanent meeting space, but if you can find a few different places, maybe we can rotate around...?

(Additionally, any free dessert is going in my mouth. Sorry.)
