The area: Enterprise

The Enterprise team focuses on integrating Google's products and
services into small and large businesses, educational institutions and
government agencies. Consisting of high-achieving engineering, sales
and marketing professionals, we work with a vast array of partners and
customers to advance the company's mission of organizing the world's
information to make it universally accessible and useful.

The role: Enterprise Technical Solutions/Support Engineer, Geospatial

Technical Support Engineers provide support for the Maps API Premier
and Google Earth Enterprise products. You will provide technical
assistance and developer support as part of a global 24/7 support
organization. You will also work closely with engineers, product
managers, and sales engineers to improve the product's vision and to
make Google customers successful.

Responsibilities:
Provide developer and technical support and resolve customer cases for
the Google Maps API Premier and Google Earth Enterprise products,
including debugging customer applications, authoring documentation and
code samples, and handling system configuration.
Identify and document bugs and feature requests in the products, and
work with engineers and customers to implement effective solutions.
Work closely with engineers, product managers, and sales engineers to
improve the products; at a senior level, suggesting and making changes
to the product code.
Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical degree preferred.
At least 1 year of industry experience in: support, professional
services, software development, systems integration, or systems
engineering.
Extensive experience developing web-based (preferably geospatial)
applications in JavaScript, Java, or ActionScript; strong foundation
in HTML, XML, and JSON.
Good Linux system administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python,
Perl).
Outstanding account management, follow-through, resourcefulness,
attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills.
Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and supporting
geospatial applications and experience with SQL databases preferred.
Good understanding of Google Earth, KML, and GeoRSS preferred.
